Spring weather brought beautiful green grass and sunshine (when it was not raining). It was the perfect time to take some maternity photos! I had the pleasure taking maternity photos for the Giddings for their first-born Logan. I still had a field of tall dead grass (my “amber waves of grain”) so we used that as a backdrop for some of the photos, and took advantage of the ‘golden hour’ (dusk) for the other photos. It was a bit windy that day but we made the best of it!
About 6 weeks later, Logan arrived and we did his newborn photos in the comfort of their home – in the nursery and in the parents’ bedroom. I love capturing those very intimate moments in their natural environment. Many people put a lot of effort into their nursery decorations so I always capture that to preserve it for a lifetime, long after the child becomes a teenager and fills the room with posters and any sign of a baby is long gone.
There were MANY photos taken, but here are just a few of my favorites!
